Motorcycle Officer Injured In Morning Crash - El Paso, TX
An El Paso Police officer was involved in a minor crash while riding his police motorcycle at approximately 6:00 a.m. Wednesday.
The accident occurred at Gateway East and Robert E Lee.
The incident is under investigation. Authorities have not yet released information about how many vehicles were involved....

KC Police Officer Hit By Motorcycle - Kansas City, MO
A Kansas City police motorcycle officer was hit by another motorcyclist late Thursday night in Kansas City North.
Witnesses told police at around 11:45 p.m. Thursday, the officer had been talking with a group of bikers in the parking lot of the Quik Trip at at 9640 N. Oak Trafficway about loitering.
As the group left, one of the motorcycles struck the officer, which police officials said they believe was intentional...

San Rafael Police Not Liable In Chase Crash Death - San Rafael, CA
...The van drove east, allegedly traveling recklessly on Point San Pedro Road, with the patrol car in pursuit, Rohrbacher said.
A San Rafael motorcycle officer was stopped on Point San Pedro Road at Porto Bello Drive waiting for the van to approach.
The van allegedly drove the wrong way on eastbound Point San Pedro Road, veered toward and struck the motorcycle, Rohrbacher said. The motorcycle officer was able to jump from the bike into some brush before the collision and escaped serious injury, she said. He was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and was released shortly thereafter.
The van then drove on Point San Pedro Road and another patrol car was damaged when the officer tried to perform a legal intervention maneuver, Rohrbacher said....

Phoenix motorcycle officer injured in crash with hearse - Phoenix, AZ
Authorities say a Phoenix police motorcycle officer suffered serious injuries when he was involved in a collision with a hearse in downtown Phoenix Saturday.
Shelly Jamison with the Phoenix Fire Department said the male officer was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with a serious hand and leg injury.
The accident happened at 7th and Jefferson streets about 5:30 p.m. and involved a hearse carrying an empty casket.
Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said the officer's injuries were not life-threatening. He had no details about how the accident occurred....
