IN MEMORIAM.

Since launching Motorcops.com nearly six years ago, I have from time to time received the suggestion of making a memorial page for motorcycle officers killed in the line of duty. Although in the past, as many of you have noticed, I turned the web site header to gray in honor of a fallen motor officer, once the service was over it would go back to color.

On August 14, 2006 I received one of the calls you never want to get, that a friend had been killed in the line of duty. I attended the services for motor officer Corporal Chris Metternich with the Baton Rouge Police Department. I can't tell you how many people expressed appreciation for the photos at the service and the online photo gallery I had done of Chris from the Motorcops.com Calendar photoshoot and skills competitions.

Right now, it doesn't seem right to take the gallery down of Chris, so I am leaving it up and if anyone wants to send in photos and information about a motor officer from their department that was lost in the line of duty, it will be placed here as well, so that we all shall never forget.
