AGENCIES. NEW BUFFALO POLICE DEPARTMENT, MI. By David Handley  I
have been a officer for 23 years here. Three as a motor officer. We are
a small tourist town (six full time officers including chief) on Lake Michigan
in the southwest part of the state. We have two Harley-Davidson Road King
Police Model motors. We are on year three of the Harley lease program. The
motors are very popular with the taxpayers, the elected officals and the
tourists. The city will continue the motor squad after the lease program
is over. Due to congrestion in the summer time the motors are very useful.
Full time patrol work except rain, also no active chases with the motors
otherwise full patrol use. If you would like to contribute information on your squad, please send an email. |
